Overview: The Dodge Dart is not long for this world; the 2016 model year will be its last. As Fiat Chrysler shifts its production priorities away from cars and toward more profitable SUVs and trucks, CEO Sergio Marchionne is reportedly looking for a partner to develop future generations of this compact sedan. That’s probably for the best. Despite a size advantage (it measures in as a mid-size car by federal standards) the Dart is uncompetitive against today’s impressive field of like-priced compacts, and has achieved little sales success since arriving in 2012.
